A magnet is embedded in a swinging arm above a stationary magnet of the same polarity, resulting in repulsion. When a magnetic shielding sleeve is placed in between the 2 magnets, it cancels out the repulsion.
This demonstrates that the magnetic shield is reducing the magnetic effect of like poles repelling each other. The magnetic shielding sleeve is made from soft iron which is iron that does not retain magnetism after being in contact with a magnet. It has a designation of C1018. http://www.magnetonlymotors.com
